Let's follow our foodie guide today and discover the local taste of Highlands together!

Blair Athol Distillery - Scotch Whiskey Tasting in Pitlochry

Of course, you should never miss the Scotch whiskey tasting in a distillery while you are in Scotland! And we have found you the most authentic one: the Blair Athol Distillery! This Scotch whiskey distillery was found in 1798, offering high-quality single malt whisky for visitors to taste for. You may also take a guided tour of the whiskey-making process so you can understand more about the art of it, as well as the story of the distillery. Take some bottles of their whisky home as gifts to your friends and family, too!

Scotch Corner of Pitlochry, Highland, UK

Scotch Corner of Pitlochry - Scotch Whiskey Ice-cream in Pitlochry

Ice-cream or whiskey? Can we have both please? Try this Scotch Whiskey Ice-cream at Scotch Corner of Pitlochry and you will never regret it. The shop is always busy so you may expect to queue for your ice-cream. The whiskey adds a unique flavour to the ice-cream; it generally makes it a lot less sweet. This is definitely the best way to experience not only the taste of Scotch whiskey but also the culture of Scotland!

Pasha Restaurant - Fusion Mediterranean Food in Pitlochry

We randomly picked Pasha Restaurant to have our lunch there. Honestly, it was a terrible decision. We spent nearly 3 hours there. The serving speed was too slow that we almost missed our coach. The jacket potato was flavourless. Nothing was right except the soup of the day: homemade veggie soup - the 2-star rating all goes to it.

The Tyndrum Inn - Authentic Pub Dishes in Tyndrum

Pub food is probably some comfort food for the locals so you should definitely try some while you are in the UK. There are lots of dishes that you can order in a pub, from fish & chips and fried scampi to all-day breakfast and curry. The prices here are reasonable and the food was tasty! We particularly liked our fish & chips very much! Look at it, how big the fried fish is!

Wood-fried pizza at Black Isle Bar

Black Isle Bar - Wood Fired Pizza in Inverness

Black Isle Bar specialises in freshly made wood-fired pizzas that are renowned and probably the best one in town. The toppings were lovely. The pizza crust was fluffy and crispy. The atmosphere at the bar was excellent. It is a great place to complete your day. We highly recommend you to get the 'Apple & Blue Cheese'! It's just so delicious that we had to order another one for takeaway!

Antlers Bar and Grill, Highland, UK

Antlers Bar and Grill - Fancy Quick-eat in Portree

Getting a burger at Antlers Bar and Grill is a good idea because they served the dishes within a reasonable timeframe. They also offer a lot of different dishes such as pasta, salad, and more fast food options like bread rolls as well as fish and chips. We did think that our burgers was a bit too salty; but everything else was excellent. In overall, this is a good place to enjoy your lunch!
