A Peaceful Small Town of Skradin, Croatia
This small town is very quiet and peaceful. With a population of about 4,000, you barely see anyone on the street. Their colourful houses look so much like the ones in Burano, Venice. There isn't so much to do in the city centre but you will still be able to find a few souvenir shops, decent cafes and local restaurants in-between lanes and alleys.
Walking Uphill to the Fortress of Turina
If you walk uphill from city centre to Utvrda Turina (Fortress of Turina), you will find a preserved historical site from the period of Medieval times. The highlight of climbing to the fortress isn't going for the fortress, but it's the panoramic view of the town that makes your time and sweat worth spending. The view may not be attractive to you but at least you can't see such thing while you are in town, right?
Krka National Park is a Heaven on Earth
Considering Krka National Park is only 25-minute ferry ride away from Skradin city centre, no one should really leave the town without a visit to Krka National Park. This bonus trip to one of the eight Croatia's paradise allows you to see gorgeous waterfalls, and Skradinski Buk is perhaps the most beautiful and popular one for all visitors. Would you like to live here forever with such stunning view? We probably would!
