Amsterdam is best known as the Venice of the North due to the large numbers of canals built across the dam of the river. It is very easy to browse around the city since everywhere is connected by footbridges. All major attractions are within walking distance in the city centre. Cycling is also a popular activity in the city. Since there are more bikes than residents in Amsterdam, it is not difficult to rent a bike for a day while you are there.

Lisse is an hour train away from Amsterdam city centre, located in the southwest of Netherlands. The city is best known for the Keukenhof garden, which is open to the public for 8 weeks every late March till mid May in a year. You will not only be able to find beautiful tulips, the national flower of the country, but also many other varieties of flower bulbs in the same garden. This major port city is only approximately 40-minute train away from Amsterdam. Rotterdam is a beautiful city that has a lot of modern colourful architectures.
