An "Amsterday" in Amsterdam

What would you do in Amsterdam? Everyone has their own "Amsterday" and mine was really simple. I have to make a confession first. I did NOT eat all day long. But all I remembered about Amsterdam was food. If you know me well enough, you should know I am always hungry. Most of the time in my life (so far) was looking for high standard food.

This was the first restaurant I tried while I was in Amsterdam. I found this place very convenient as it is just right next to the central train station. I had a quick lunch there after I got off the train. This restaurant is all about burger! I think their burger was quite nice actually, however I am not a huge fan of burger and it wasn't really that special at all. I think this would be a great place for a quick meal as it was relatively affordable and better quality of burgers.

Burgerij | IJhal, De Ruijterkade 40B, 1012 AA Amsterdam, Netherlands ★★★☆☆

After I finished a quick lunch, I started wandering around the city and I found this restaurant. It looked really attempting to me. It was quite busy even in the mid-afternoon. I ordered a fish-and-chips and it was surprisingly delicious. I think it is mainly because the fish was really fresh. The chips were not oily at all. Everything was beyond my expectation. I wish I could come back to try different seafood dishes like shellfish, especially crab and lobster!

I didn't really take any transports when I was in the city centre. I think everywhere in Amsterdam is within walking distance. The sunset was amazing and the best place to see it is in front of the Amsterdam Central station! I also love the view with the bikes! It definitely represents Netherlands!

HAHA It's time to have dinner after sunset. I chose Japanese food as dinner tonight because I thought I ate too much "fast food" for the whole day today. This is a high-end restaurant in a beautiful setting. I liked their sashimi (raw fish) so much, even my friend who never tried Japanese food, especially sashimi, thought they were very fresh and delicious. The service was excellent as well. Although I paid a lot here at the end, I had nothing to complain about. It's highly recommended!
